Unfortunately, shortly after these pics were taken, E's GP, concerned about the presence of fluid in E's middle ear, referred us to a Laryngologist (an ear specialist). The specialislt told us to stop swimming indoors for several months and closely monitor E's ears. In November it would be decided whether E could resume his swimming or he would have to undergo surgery to place grommets (tubes) in his ears to keep them ventilated.
On March 30th, 2008, our family of three touched down at Auckland Airport. after a twelve-hour flight from San Francisco, we arrived in New Zealand full of hopes, excitement and apprehension. We have created this blog, and are updating it regularly, so that our families and friends can be a part of our Kiwi Experience.

Picked Up Where We Left Off
As part of our settling in process, we decided to resume E's swim classes. We found a swimming pool in Albany that offered classes for toddlers. E seemed to enjoy swimming with his Dad as much as he did back home
