We did one of the walks and ended the visit with a stroll on the beach and a snack and a game of tag in the grassy picnic area.
On March 30th, 2008, our family of three touched down at Auckland Airport. after a twelve-hour flight from San Francisco, we arrived in New Zealand full of hopes, excitement and apprehension. We have created this blog, and are updating it regularly, so that our families and friends can be a part of our Kiwi Experience.

Shakespeare Regional Park
On a cool and windy (but not rainy) September Sunday, we set off to explore the very tip of Whangaporoa Peninsula - the Shakespeare Regional Park. It is a coastal park situated some 50 kilometers from Auckland. The park features an amazing view of Auckland city, beautiful scenery, wonderful variety of birdlife, and several walks.

We did one of the walks and ended the visit with a stroll on the beach and a snack and a game of tag in the grassy picnic area.
