Our First Thanksgiving in the Land of Kiwis

As Thanksgiving was approaching, the days, contrary to our usual expectations, got increasingly warmer, sunnier, and brighter.

We were celebrating this year's Thanksgiving with a couple of our American friends, Leah and Ben.

Leah was in charge of cooking. She did an amazing job on the traditional dinner.





Eric, as usual, was in charge of baking. He made both pumpkin and pecan pies.



And he also carved the turkey.



The dinner was a great success!

Meantime, E was entertaining and being entertained by Scout - Leah and Ben's dog.









In the 25 degrees of Celsius and glorious sunshine, it was hard to re-capture the usual Thanksgiving spirit. It was just yet another reminder that we were a long way from home...
