Old McDonald's Farm - October 2008

Even though there are cows, horses, sheep, and other farm animals a few minutes away from our house (Albany used to be farmland a few years ago), we like to make a longer trip to Henderson (45 minutes from home) to visit the Old McDonald's Farm. It's a big place with all sorts of livestock roaming around.

The animals are always eager to be fed by visitors.

They have a couple of small petting areas.

The first time we visited a few months ago, E was afraid of horses. This time he was happy to get a pony ride (two rides even).

And after a few hours of hard work on the farm, ice-cream seemed like a well-deserved reward.

Because an ice-cream cone is always good...

And two are even better!
