There have been many a time when Eric and I were both amazed (sometimes speechless) as we faced certain Kiwi phenomena: unreliable, unresponsive but always nice-to-talk-to "Customer Service," carpeted garages, an ad on TV showing a child being hit by a train... What seemed to top the list of our bizarre encounters in New Zealand was what was printed on a sleeve for a DVD that we received in mail one time:

Some things would just not fly in the U.S... It's an incredible, stunning, you've-got-to-be-kidding kind of a thing... but mostly refreshing.
